New Years Eve I-94 Pileup Near Paw Paw Captured By Drone

Weather conditions on New Year's Eve led to some treacherous roads around near Paw Paw. Here is a 'drone's eye view' of one of those pileups.

The video was originally filmed by Infinite Arial Media and shared to Youtube by Mlive.

I counted about 40 vehicles involved in this pileup. There were others that occurred further East and West of this accident as reported by Mlive:

At 12:37 p.m. Sunday, a crash on westbound I-94 at exit 52 for County Road 365 had closed the freeway, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.

Minutes later another major crash was reported on westbound I-94 at M-51.

Buses were dispatched to the highway to pick up stranded drivers, according to police scanner traffic.

The highway reopened to traffic at 4 p.m.

This is a reminder to drive slower in areas with low visibility and to stay off the roads if at all possible.
