Over $23,000 In Cash, Large Amount Of Cocaine Seized In Kalamazoo
Kalamazoo authorities have busted the second large scale drug operation in less than a week.
On Monday, the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team executed a search warrant in the 3300 block of W. Main St. in Kalamazoo Township. Before the search warrant was carried out, however, a suspect was arrested outside the residence. On his person, authorities found a large amount of Crack Cocaine, Powder Cocaine and "high-quality" heroin; enough for 80 doses.
Inside the residence, more cocaine was found, along with evidence of crack cocaine manufacture. A loaded handgun, and over $23,000 in cash was also discovered, with the money believed to be the profits of drug sales.
The 26-year-old suspect, a Kalamazoo Township man, will be facing charges of possession with intent to distribute Cocaine, Crack Cocaine, and Heroin; Felony Firearm and Felony Possession of a Firearm; and Maintaining a Drug House.
The KVET asks residents with any information about illegal drug or firearm activity to please contact police or Silent Observer.
