Paw Paw Brewing Picks Up Oatmeal Stout of the Year Honors
Quite the honor for Paw Paw Brewing; the Van Buren country brewer was named Michigan Oatmeal Stout Brewery of the Year at the New York International Beer Competition. the site says there were 600 competing entries in 50 categories from over 14 countries around the world.

speechless” to receive such praise. Black River Oatmeal Stout is one of the original four recipes brewed by Paw Paw

Paw Paw Brewing was established in 2010 by Paw Paw native/ Western Michigan University alumnus, Ryan Sylvester. The brewery says it has over 100 beer recipes and is currently distributing almost twenty beers around the state.
The New York Beer Competition also named North Peak Brewing in Traverse City its overall Michigan brewery of the year, and Fennville's Virtue Cider the Michigan Cider Producer of the Year.
