Portage Man Located & Identified After Drowning In Kalamazoo Co.

The search for a 41 year old man who went missing in the waters of Long Lake in Portage has ended. Dive teams recovered the body of a man who drowned in Long Lake over the weekend.

The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man as Clifford Allen Ferree, 41, of Portage. His body was recovered Sunday night after an extensive search.

The body of 41 year old Clifford Allen Ferree, of Portage, was found around 7:30 p.m. Sunday in Long Lake in Pavilion Township, according to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office.

It comes a day after he went missing in the water around 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

The incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office at 269-383-8746.
