Red Wings Red Carpet Walk Returns Sunday Before Home Opener

Another season of Red Wings hockey kicks off this weekend.  Once again this year the players will walk the red carpet at Little Caesars Arena before the game. 

According to the Red Wings, the 4th annual event will be on Chevrolet Plaza in front of Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Sunday, October 6th.   The event is free and for the whole family and will be open to fans beginning at 2:30 p.m.

The Red Wings players are expected to walk the red carpet between 4:15 and 5:15 p.m.  Fans will be able to greet the players and many will sign autographs. The home opener will be at 7 p.m. against the Dallas Stars.

The event will also feature the Hockeytown Experience, the Dan Rafferty Band, along with food and drink specials at Mike's Pizza Bar and Sports & Social Detroit.

Before the start of the game there will be a special opening show, so fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 6:45 p.m.   Details on the opening night festivities and ticket details for the Red Wings you can check out their website here.
