Summers in Michigan are all about celebrating the artistry of very talented Michiganders. The 46th Annual Richland Art Fair at the Village Square Park is Saturday, July 20th from 9am to 4pm. But, just like last year, this is more than an art fair. It's a fundraiser for the Gull Lake Area Community Volunteers who aim to help families in need by providing children with coats, snow pants, clothing, toys, toiletries, and more. They also provide educational, medical, and emergency assistance. We talk every year about the number of children in our area who are food insecure. Richland is no different. 26% of students in the Gull Lake Area Community Schools qualify for free or reduced lunch. This is an opportunity for art to change lives.

Nearly 80 artists from all over Michigan will have their wares on display. From jewelry to pottery, paintings to metal work, there will be something for everyone. There will also be a raffle, where you can buy a $2 chance to win one of the artworks donated to the fair by the artists. Add some art to your home and help Gull Lake area children. That's a win-win.
