Schlotzsky’s in Portage Closed After 30 Years

After 30 years in Portage, Schlotzsky's on South Westnedge Ave has closed its doors for good.

This must have happened without much warning as their is no mention of the closing on the Scholotzsky's website or their Portage facebook page.  In fact, as recently as January 30th they posted, "If your girlfriend goes to get hot sauce and leaves her sandwich, it’s ok to steal a bite... right? 😋"

That leaves Southwest Michigan with 3 locations, all of which are in Battle Creek.  No more Scholotzsky's in Kalamazoo or Portage.

We've contacted the Schlotzsky's to inquire about when and why the store suddenly shut down.  We'll update this story when/if we here back from them.
