The Midwest’s Largest Flea Market- Shipshewana Opens for 2018 Season
It's time to head to Amish country for some of the most eclectic bargains around as Shishewana opens for its 96th season.
In 1922, "six pigs, seven cows and several head of young cattle were sold at the home of George Curtis during the very first Shipshewana livestock auction." Since then it has grown to become the Midwest's largest flea market with almost 900 vendors showcasing their wares on 100 acres in Shipshewana, Indiana.
The outdoor flea market is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 8 AM-5 PM May through September, with special holiday hours 8-5 on Memorial Day, Labor Day and Independence Day.
