Should the Michigan Recount Continue?
The Michigan November 8th Presidential recount will now be stopped before it's completion due to the fact that the State and Federal courts have ruled that Green Party Candidate Jill Stein has no standing under Michigan law to call for a recount.
We can not forgot that Michigan’s largest county, Wayne, voted overwhelmingly for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, but officials couldn’t reconcile vote totals for 610 of 1,680 precincts during a countywide canvass of vote results late last month.
The numbers get even worse when we zero in on Detroit precincts, where the number of ballots in precinct poll books did not match those of voting machine printout reports in 59% of their precincts, 392 of 662.
Also, according to state law, precincts whose poll books don’t match with ballots can’t be recounted. If that happens, original election results stand.
We then discover that the canvassers in Wayne County were provided no explanation for why the numbers didn’t add up in those precincts but they still certified the results of the election anyway.
With all that in mind please let me know your thoughts by voting in the following poll:
