Winter Weather Advisory Continues In Southwest Michigan
A winter storm is blazing its way towards southwest Michigan, causing the National Weather Service to issue a Winter Weather Advisory from 3AM -7PM Monday.
Snow is expected with accumulations between 2-5 inches. The affected areas focus on south central and southwest Michigan. Authorities warn drivers to plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning and evening commutes. The bulk of the snow will fall after daybreak Monday and roads may be slick for the Monday morning commute. The quick arrival of sub- freezing temperatures overnight may lead to icy road conditions developing before daybreak, even if only light accumulations occur by that time.
The affected areas include Calhoun, Kalamazoo, Kent, Ionia, Ingham, Barry, Eaton, Jackson and Clinton.
