The Michigan House Of Representatives passed a package of bills this week legalizing sports betting and internet gaming and gambling on fantasy sports.  It is not yet clear as to what other categories of sports gambling will eventually be included on a legal basis. The bill package moves to the Michigan Senate and there is still a question of whether Governor Whitmer will veto it or not.

According to wwjnewsradio.radio.com Representative Brandt Iden R-Kalamazoo sponsored the bill which he says could generate up to $30 million in revenue each year.  So far, over 10 states around the country have legalized sports betting since the Supreme Court lifted the federal ban on gambling back in May of this year.
