Spring Training Start Dates Announced For Tigers, Cubs and White Sox
It has been an interesting off season for Major League Baseball. With all the offseason moves, sign stealing fallout and more, Spring Training is almost here.
According to MLB, first workouts for teams and game times have been set for Spring Training in Major League Baseball.
The Tigers will try to improve on their league worst finish last season. The Tigers pitchers and catchers will report to Lakeland, Florida on February 13th with the full team starting on February 17th.
Tigers will begin their spring games with their scrimmage against Southeastern on February 21st. The first spring game will be the next day against the Phillies.
The Cubs have moved on from manager Joe Maddon and welcome new manager, David Ross. Pitchers and catchers report to Mesa, Arizona on February 12th. The players will start workouts on February 12th. Cubs will play the A's in Mesa on February 22nd.
The Chicago White Sox made some moves during the off season and look to surprise some teams this year. The White Sox pitchers and catchers report to Glendale, Arizona on February 12th. The team will start on February 17th.
This Spring the White Sox will start their games with a split squad match up against the Angels on February 22nd.
