Stolen Firearms, Drugs Recovered In Kalamazoo Bust

Two men are in custody in Kalamazoo after a Tuesday morning investigation found marijuana and stolen firearms.

Around 3:45am Tuesday, Kalamazoo Public Safety officers responded to the area of Sherwood Ave and Dwight St on reports of an alleged assault.  At the scene, officers found two men who matched descriptions provided by the 911 call.

Authorities found with the men two handguns, reported stolen out of Kalamazoo and Allegan Counties, along with marijuana.  One of the men also turned out to be the suspect in a felonious assault that had occurred earlier.

The two suspects, both in their 20’s, were arrested on various felony firearm and drug charges, along with outstanding warrants.
