Suspect Sought In Fatal Shooting In Kalamazoo

Kalamazoo Authorities continue to look for their suspect in a shooting that left one man dead early Saturday morning.

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says that the incident happened in the 800 block of Oakland Dr. around 2:15am Saturday, where police arrived to find a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his torso. He was taken to the hospital, but later pronounced dead.

Witnesses told police that the victim had been shot by the suspect during an argument, and after the shooting the suspect fled the scene on foot.

The suspect has not been identified, but the KDPS has released surveillance footage sthat shows a person believed to be the one responsible. If you have any information that might lead to an arrest, the KDPS asks that you contact them or call Silent Observer.
