You are formally invited to attend this Battle Creek event dubbed "Tacos & Tunes" happening on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at 503 Military Street in Battle Creek (Sprout BC at Begg Park).

This festival features a taco competition paired with music. Described as a "Holy Matrimony" of two of the best things in this world, Tacos & Music.

Great local food and drinks will be on site and there will be a taco contest that will be looking for the best traditional as well as the Most 'Out of The Shell' taco.

The taco and music festival will feature local vendors including but not limited to:

  • Kitchen Proper
  • Torti Taco
  • Veggz Café
  • Handmap Brewing Company

The restaurants will compete for the winning title in three categories: Out of the Shell, People’s Choice, and Traditional.

Music will be provided by Modern Adventure, Minor Element, The Moonmen, and local DJ Lil Agua.

The event is being brought to Battle Creek by Jackson and Tristan Bredehoft, owners of the local Café Rica coffee shop in partnership with Sprout BC and Ignite BC, two local organizations also striving to make a difference in the community. The goal is to build awareness and raise funds to support Sprout’s mission of food sovereignty and food sustainability. “We wanted to build an event that had more of an impact,” Tristan Bredehoft states. “We think this is an opportunity to not only give the community something fun to do but to support a great initiative in the process”
