A fifth death due to Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) has been confirmed in a Cass County resident and an additional horse has been diagnosed with the disease in Allegan County, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services announced Monday afternoon.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services said state residents are being strongly advised to protect themselves from mosquito bites after four additional cases of Eastern Equine Encephalitis have been confirmed in southwest Michigan, including two more that were fatal.
Driving and finding a 'Road Closed' sign is almost always an aggravation. Now that means a detour, perhaps lengthy, to get where you're going. But there likely a good reason for the road to be closed, and quite a bit of trouble ahead if you attempt to circumvent the closure.
