Incumbent Democratic U.S. Sen. Gary Peters is picking up an endorsement from the Detroit Regional Chamber. It’s a noteworthy endorsement as he tries to hold off a solid challenge from Republican businessman John James. James however is able to wave the flag of some of his similar endorsements.
Battle Creek may be the least expensive option for the proposed missile defense site for the East Coast, but not the preferred site. The Department of Defense said in a release, that Fort Drum in New York is the current preferred option.
After much urging from Republicans for John James to run, a new website was launched Wednesday which says that James is running to replace Gary Peters in the US Senate in 2020
The bill would automatically renew funding for government agencies at the same level as the previous fiscal year, adjusted for inflation; the only exempted agencies would be the Legislative branch and the Executive Office of the President.
