It’s been a long time coming, but Kellogg Community College is relaunching the production process for “The Wiz”, which was postponed due to the pandemic.
State Police are announcing the first-ever trooper academy specifically being offered to current law enforcement officers. In other words, the state is now actively recruiting current law enforcement officers from departments throughout Michigan to jump ship.
A lot of students at Kellogg Community College are smiling today. Many are getting special one-time grants from KCC. Others are getting refunds for earlier registration fees.
KCC administrators say there’s a good chance many people who are in what are characterized as essential jobs who don’t have a college degree may be enrolling. The reason is the state’s new “Frontliners” program which lets essential workers enroll in college degree programs for free.
Luckily for those in Southwest Michigan, we have Kalamazoo Valley Community College and Kellogg Community College, both of whom will be be taking applicants for this program.
The Kellogg Community College Foundation is offering approximately $75,000 in additional scholarships this summer to help new or returning KCC students pay for school at KCC this fall or spring.
