Why do so many people in Ohio want "poo" on their license plates?

Michigan has had some very interesting license plates over the years.

Do people still collect license plates in their garages? I remember as a kid, both my dad and then, later, my father-in-law had them tacked up on the wall of the garage.

This license plate depicting Isle Royale looks like it could be an official place from the Secretary of State. It's not, but sure could be.

SOS says no swear words, sex stuff, poop stuff, booze or drug stuff - that doesn't mean Michiganders didn't try though.

We here in Michigan like to think we are at least a bit classier than our southern neighbors in Ohio...and some of these plates rejected by their DMV prove it!

It's cheaper to replace your plates before you're pulled over because it's peeling and illegible.

Only the most dedicated of collectors would own this rare 'color test' Michigan license plate.

I did a little research yesterday at our Secretary Of State's website just to see what kind of custom license plates I could have made up if I wanted one
