UPDATE: A member of the insulated religious group has reportedly reached out to the missing man's sister

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says that the body in the area of the 800 block of N. Prairie Ave. is that of 16-year-old Mujey Dumbuya, a high schooler from Grand Rapids.

Police in Kalamazoo are now investigating the suspicious circumstances surrounding a man’s disappearance. Information is described as “sketchy”, but authorities say they believe some kind of “altercation” might have led to William Gray’s disappearance December 29.

Just before 8pm Monday, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Officers were called to East Michigan Ave. near the Veteran’s Memorial, where someone said they saw a body in the Kalamazoo River.

A special memorial run is set to be held next week to honor a Portage woman killed by her husband. The Kalamazoo Area Runners announced that the run will take place Wednesday to remember Theresa Lockhart, who was an active member of the running nonprofit.
