The City of Monroe is making me change my store sign because of the style of the text. Since one of my favorite local artist Rob Roy worked so hard and absolutely nailed it, I at least wanted a picture to remember it and for all of you to see it.
Navigating one-way streets in many downtown areas can be tricky. But wouldn't be amusing to encounter a sign instructing you the street is 'One Wayy.' That's what appears to be happening in Monroe Michigan.
The drive-in is actually located on the site of the former Denniston Drive-in, which was originally built in 1956 but closed and demolished around 1985.
This plan is almost a complete go, however, it still needs approval from Frenchtown Township trustees. With their approval, the new drive-in would be operational and open next spring.
