A group of Kalamazoo Public Schools students were returning from a camping trip at Sherman Lake when their bus got stuck in the snow while trying to turn a corner.
As you can see in the video above, there is a bus on its side, and can hear the alarms blaring outside of the Canterbury Apartments in Kalamazoo. It is alleged that the bus driver dozed off at the wheel before the crash.
I swear every time that I drive by a school or a bus garage, there's a sign that says they're hiring bus drivers. Hell, all summer long there's been a school bus sitting in front of Grand Blanc High School promoting the need for drivers.
I don't know what these schools are going to do if they can't find enough drivers for the school year...
It's enough to make your blood boil. Careless drivers driving right a stopped school bus. The results of such a mistake can be tragic. How often does it happen? It's probably correct to say one time is too often.
Spring in Michigan is synonymous potholes. In fact, it could be argued that a promise to "Fix the d@#n roads!" helped get Michigan's newest Governor elected.
