Spelling Bee

For the first time ever, the road to the SCRIPPS National Spelling Bee will come through Kalamazoo in 2023.

This event supports Ready to Read, a wonderful early childhood literacy program that encourages parents to share their love of reading with their children from birth to five years of age. Research shows that reading aloud to children better prepares them for reading in the classroom and more academic success.
