Take A Break From Serious; Queen-Pink Floyd Light Show Thursday
Life and all its problems just seem to keep coming at us full bore, but for one evening, here's a chance to escape from all that.
For fans of Queen and Pink Floyd, Thursday evening is a chance to do just that, take a drive up US 131 to the Roger B. Chaffee Planetarium in Grand Rapids and escape into a world probably missing from your life since high school. The renewed interest in Queen since the release of the Freddie Mercury movie also makes this a fun show.
The Queen Light Show: From Mercury with Love! promises to bring "new life" to the classic rock light show format. It's an original production set to the music of Queen. Experience 10 of Queen’s greatest hits, including favorite like Bohemian Rhapsody, Another One Bites the Dust and You’re My Best Friend.
Dark Side: The Light Show is a "new, one of a kind" light show, with 4k visuals, LED sequences, and 5.1 surround sound.
The show is Thursday evening, August 1st, at the Grand Rapids Public Museum (272 Pearl Street NW). The Museum’s doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the first show, The Queen Light Show, starting at 7 p.m. There's a cash bar before and in between.
