It’s a really fun event, We get to help lots of girls do something they might not have been able to do because of various circumstances in their lives. Sometimes girls have financial issues or family issues that make it really difficult to afford a dress, so we are hear to help those ladies make that lifelong memory and do something just like the rest of their friends.
The 'Cinderella Project' has over 2,200 dresses and are planning to dress 200 young gals for the big night. The only rule is that participants must be a junior or senior in high school. No proof of financial need or local residency is required to attend.
The 'Cinderella Project' will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, March 22, at the Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan, 601 W. Maple St.
And remember for next year that donations to the 'Cinderella Project' are accepted year-round at Memories Bridal & Evening Wear, 203 E. Michigan Ave. in downtown Kalamazoo.
