The kids with the golden voices, with positive attitudes, killed it on America's Got Talent

The adventure for these talented kids started back in June with 'Americas Got Talent' (AGT)  show host Terry Crews automatically advanced the choir under the show's rules by hitting the golden buzzer!

Last night the choir took the stage and brought down the house. They amazed the judges and audience alike with their powerful performance of "The Champion," (a Carrie Underwood song featuring Ludacris).

The Judges Response to the Detroit Youth Choirs Performance...

  • Gabrielle Union said "Oh my word, oh my word, hallelujah!"
  • Howie Mandel told White that his introduction "spoke to the world,"
  • Julianne Hough called the choir's message and talent "bigger than 'AGT.' "
  • Simon Cowell "You are bloody fantastic and actually better tonight than your first audition," (referring to the group's June appearance).

Even though the choir blew the roof off of the joint, they are not guaranteed a place in the semifinals. Only seven of the 12 acts featured Tuesday night (8/27) will move on, but you can help! You need to vote for these amazing Michigan kids! Viewers can vote using the "America's Got Talent" app,  which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play, or by going to NBC.com, or via the Xfinity X1 set-top box.

The Detroit Free Press pointed out that if "The Detroit Youth Choir could make "AGT" history by becoming the first choir to win the NBC reality competition".

Find out tonight if the Detroit Youth Choir makes it into the semifinals tonight at 8 pm on NBC.

Oh, and don't forget to vote!
