The long awaited, award winning documentary, The Russian Five, about the five Russians who helped restore the Detroit Red Wings to hockey glory in the the 1990's and early 2000's, will begin to be shown around the state of Michigan on March 22nd. Celebration Cinema Crossroads had the movie on it's website.

The movie made it's debut last year at the Freep Film Festival, and has picked up awards there, at the Traverse City Film Festival and several others. But, now, as they say, it's coming to a theatre near you.

"I think that the communal experience of watching a movie in the theater together with your friends and family is especially important for 'The Russian Five'.  "We watched and cheered on our Red Wings together at the Joe, so being able to watch the film in a theater full of Red Wings fans, with everyone reliving these memories together, really is the ultimate viewing experience." - Director Joshua Riehl in the Detroit Free Press
