It's a thousand miles, in five days, in the same car. That, and racing every morning. Hot Rod's Drag Week 2016 came to U.S. 131 Motorsports Park in Martin Wednesday morning.

“Drag Week is the ultimate test of both racer and car. As if covering five tracks and 1,000 street miles in five days isn’t challenging enough, drivers can expect some of the fiercest street-legal competition on four wheels, said Evan Perkins, HOT ROD Magazine Editor-in-Chief, in a press release.

"But it’s not just about clocking the lowest elapsed time on the strips; the racers will also have to drive their vehicles on a specified route from city to city. The crew at HOT ROD will require photographic evidence from each entry that drivers are adhering to the prescribed route. Thus, drivers will be on the clock for five straight days and must remain alert to all rules."

This morning's stop in Martin, is Day/Event #3 of the five events, which started in Hebron, Ohio on Monday morning, then traveled to Norwalk, Ohio for yesterday's competition. Martin today, Indianapolis tomorrow and back to Hebron for Friday.

After Tuesday's racing on Norwalk, the participants headed to U.S. 131 Motorsports Park, and the unique cars could be seen traveling up 131 on the afternoon commute home, and many stayed in Plainwell, where their cars were on display Tuesday night.
