The Tigers finished the season in Minnesota with a 5-1 loss to the playoff bound Twins.

44 year old Bartolo Colon pitched one-run ball into the seventh inning.  The only Tiger run came on a home run by outfielder Alex Presley, who hit .314 on the season.  Jason Castro homered and drove in three runs for the Twins.

With the loss, the Tigers finish at 64-98, and 38 games behind first place Cleveland. And the Tigers will get the top draft pick in this summer’s draft.  The last time the Tigers had a top-five pick, it was after their 119 loss season in 2003, and they chose Justin Verlander with the #2 overall pick.

The Tigers’ Andrew Romine played all nine positions in Saturday’s game, giving Tiger fans something to smile about in the final weekend.  Romine became just the fifth player in to play all nine positions in one major league game.
