The Detroit Tigers moved around some of their minor league managers and a member of their 1984 Championship team is making a move to Grand Rapids.

According to the story at M-Live, Former Tigers catcher Lance Parrish is making the move to manage the Class A West Michigan Whitecaps.  He has spent the last four season as the manager for Double A Erie.

Along with his time in Erie, Parrish coached with the Tigers in the early 2000's.  He also managed in the L.A. Dodgers minor league system.

This is just one of a few moves the Tigers recently made to their minor league system.   Whitecaps manager Mike Rabelo is moving up to Class A Lakeland.   Lakeland manager Andrew Graham is moving to replace Parrish in Erie.

The Whitecaps are coming off a great season where they won 91 games.
