While it wasn’t quite 15 runs, a nine point Tiger victory over the White Sox was certainly nothing to complain about. There was a lot to like for Detroit Tiger fans, Saturday afternoon, on both sides of the plate. In back to back style, Castellanos and Presley would get the Tigers on the board early in the 2nd, with a pair of home runs. After a Presley steal in the 4th, a single from Iglesias would score Presley and a single from Romine would score Iglesias. Alex Avila would cap off the 4th inning with a 2 run shot to left, and the Tigers would lead 6-0.

Jordan Zimmerman would have a fantastic outing. The White Sox wouldn’t get on the board until the 6th inning, on a double from Frazier, scoring Garcia. Justin Upton would join the fun in the 8th inning, with a home run shot to left, after a nine pitch battle. A walk and a single later, and Iglesias would tack on two more runs for the Tigers with a double to left. A Machado single would score Iglesias. The Tigers would hold on for the 10-1 win.

Jordan Zimmerman would pitch 6 innings, and give up just 1 run on 7 hits, with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts. The Tigers would outhit the Sox 15 to 9 and five different Tiger hitters would record 2 hits or more. Tiger Center Fielder Alex Presley would go 3 for 4, with a home run. Tiger relievers would only give up two hits, in the final three innings.

With the win, the Tigers record their third straight, outscoring opponents 31 to 11. The Tigers are back at just one game below the .500 mark, 27-28. Tigers will host the White Sox one more time, in their three game series, Sunday afternoon. Justin Verlander(4-4  4.50 ERA) will face off against David Holmberg(2.51 ERA).
