Trump, Fake News and Licenses
Yesterday NBC News reported the following:
President Donald Trump said he wanted what amounted to a nearly tenfold increase in the U.S. nuclear arsenal during a gathering this past summer of the nation’s highest-ranking national security leaders, according to three officials who were in the room.
After the publication of that story President Trump stated that it was not true, he never asked for a build-up of “nearly tenfold” in our nuclear arsenal. He stated that he wanted to modernize and rehabilitate our nuclear stockpile.
In fact President Trump’s Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis also refuted what NBC “news” reported and was quoted in a Fox News article stating:
Recent reports that the President called for an increase in the U.S. nuclear arsenal are absolutely false. This kind of erroneous reporting is irresponsible.
That tweak of the main stream manipulative news (MSMN) really got the “news” rooms infuriated and they all went after President Trump.
Meanwhile Republican Senator from Nebraska Ben Sasse issued a statement in which he stated:
Mr. President: Are you recanting of the Oath you took on Jan. 20 to preserve, protect, and defend the 1st Amendment?
I believe that President Trump was just attempting to once again tweak the MSMN and it appears that he was successful, but he also tweaked people who believe in the constitution, that being Republicans.
I would be one conservative that would not agree or stand by our government no matter who is the President attempting to suggest that we should “challenge” the licenses of “news” organizations. By the way why do “news” organizations need licenses anyway?
What I do want to point out is the fact that Republicans will challenge a “Republican” President when necessary, to bad the Democrats will not challenge a Democrat President when necessary.
