Two Arrested After Gunfire And Chase

Two men were arrested in Kalamazoo early Sunday following gunfire and a high speed chase.

Officers responded to a report of shots being fired at Ada and Burell Streets at around 3am. As police arrived, three suspects jumped into a car and sped away. A handgun was tossed from the car as police followed.

The chase came to an end on Maple Street after the vehicle hit a parked car. A woman inside was injured and hospitalized. The suspects were caught at the crash scene.

Several bullet holes were found in their vehicle and shell casings were recovered from the scene of the shooting.

The other people involved in the gunfire have not been found.
