UN Climate Justice Court
Am I reading this correctly?
The United Nations wants to create an “International Tribunal of Climate Justice”. What is that like a superhero secret Justice League or it sounds more like Commander Cobra’s league of super villains.
World Net Daily is reporting that at the upcoming United Nations Climate Summit in Paris, several nations have prepared a treaty that would create this “International Tribunal of Climate Justice”.
What powers will this court have? Many are saying it will give Third World countries the power to bring the U.S. into this global court and more importantly of concern by the critics, this global court will have enforcement powers.
Will Congress be involved?
Apparently not, it is being reported that once again the Congress would be bypassed by this climate deal.
According to the proposed draft of this climate treaty, the court would take up issues such as “climate justice,” “climate finance,” “technology transfers,” and “climate debt.”
In the draft document on page 19 of the 34-page document is the critical text that concerns many it is written as follows:
“[An International Tribunal of Climate Justice as][A] [compliance mechanism] is hereby established to address cases of non-compliance of the commitments of developed country Parties on mitigation, adaptation, [provision of] finance, technology development and transfer [and][,] capacity-building[,] and transparency of action and support, including through the development of an indicative list of consequences, taking into account the cause, type, degree and frequency of non-compliance.”
Why has this not been more widely reported by the Main Stream Media?
Hmmm…..I wonder why?
