Shelby Offrink, who battled aggressive brain cancer for a year and a half, passed away on June 28.

Here is the update from the Offrink family's YouCaring page:

It is with completely broken hearts that we need to let you all know that Shelby passed away yesterday. She was at peace, surrounded by her closest family. Both Maeve and Hazel gave their mom a kiss and hug as Shelby took her last breath. We are grateful that she is now pain free, running around and making tons of friends in Heaven already, but we will forever miss her quick wit, humor and love for others. There is a party in Heaven, but a hole in our hearts.
Funeral information will be sent out at a later time.

We miss you, Shelby. You were the best friend we could ever have. You left this world just as you lived- with heart, love, determination, fearlessness and no regrets.

According to CNN, in 2014, Shelby Offrink was diagnosed with an "intramedullary glioblastoma, a highly aggressive form of brain cancer." Later that year, her husband Ben's Hodgkins lymphoma returned after 15 years in remission.

"We're pushing on and fighting every day to make sure our girls are healthy and happy and getting as much out of life as they can," said Ben in People Magazine about their daughters Maeve, 4, and Hazel, 1. "We're not going to sulk in a corner. We want to show our girls that there's a lot to live for and laugh about, each and every day of their lives."
