Vintage Photos: WayBack Wednesday’s WKMI ‘Hay Day’ and More!

Another WKMI WayBack Wednesday!

We're heading back 50 to 60 years, with three photographs that probably date back to the late 1950s to mid 1960s.The first photograph has a typed description attached to it, describing the first WKMI "Hay Day in May."

The attachment reads:

"The first WKMI "Hay Day in May" promotion. Thousands of dollars worth of prizes were stashed in the giant stack of hay. The little kids dug into the pile to look for the prizes. Most of the prizes were found....sixteen of the little kids weren't.!"

Because the news vehicle is the same as in the second photograph, we're guessing it's approximately June of 1965. (The folder they were in is dated that date.)

The third photograph is probably from the 1950's as Kalamazoo mayor Glenn Allen is in it. Any help identifying any of the people in any of the pictures would be greatly appreciated.
