Horn Day is an annual festival at Western Michigan University that is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about the horn. This fun-filled event includes an entire day of horn activities, including a guest artist master class and recital, a solo competition for middle and high school participants, a recital by the WMU Horn Choir and WMU student soloists, and a chance for all participants to play in chamber ensembles and the Mass Horn Choir, which rehearses during the day and performs in the final concert at 6:30 p.m.

Horn Day 2016 will feature horn superstar Jeff Nelsen. He is probably best known for his eight years spent touring and recording with the Canadian Brass. He has also performed concert and chamber music on six continents and in the horn sections of dozens of orchestras including the New York and Los Angeles philharmonics, and the Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Montreal, and Saint Louis symphonies.
