All of us should be concerned about possible election fraud and our city clerk's not cleaning up our voter rolls.  When any city clerk allows dead people to be on their rolls or voters who appear more than once, and more registered voters in a city then are eligible to vote, that is a problem.

This is something that Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians and Independents should be able to agree with.

That is exactly the problem Detroit has and the Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF), an Indiana-based group that litigates to protect election integrity, has filed a complaint against Detroit with the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan

They stated that Detroit’s voter rolls “contain more than 2,500 deceased individuals, nearly 5,000 voters who appear more than once, and 511,786 registered voters in the city where only 479,267 individuals are eligible to vote”.

Both Detroit's city clerk Janice Winfrey, and director of elections George Azzouz, are named as defendants in the suit.

Remember that back in 2016 President Trump only won the state of Michigan by 10,704 votes over Hillary Clinton. So having 2,500 dead people on the voter rolls, more than 5,000 people registered more than once and approximately 32,000 more people registered to vote than are eligible really does matter.  Someone with criminal intentions could have swung the state to Hillary illegally.

The PILF's communications director Logan Churchwell, told the Washington Free Beacon:

If the Russians or others are indeed coming in 2020, this is how we fight back early. Election integrity requires that we review voting assets and intentionally seek opportunities to harden them...When the Foundation hand-delivered these list maintenance leads, they were brushed aside by Detroit. This behavior is precisely what saboteurs rely on before they begin their work.

Back in 2016 37% of Detroit’s precincts registered more votes than the number of voters tallied in polling stations.  You starting to see the problem and maybe why the City Clerk did not do anything about these issues?

Might the City Clerk of Detroit have been up to something or just lazy.
