The never ending struggle for Kalamazoo drivers continues. Whether it's battling the city over bicyclists' rights or just the seemingly never ending building and road construction hassles, it just seems to never end. Now, here's another one, though thankfully, it's only for several days (fingers crossed).

The City of Kalamazoo says "East Michigan Avenue between North Pitcher Street and Walbridge Street will be closed from October 19, 2109 through October 23, 2019 for railroad crossing repairs." Kudos to the planners who set this up to start on a Saturday and Sunday, keeping the pain to a minimum.

But the City says no one gets around this one. "The motoring public and pedestrians are advised to follow the posted detour route.  Sidewalks will be closed." This will necessitate extra planning for those head the Kalamazoo's "Beer-Muda Triangle"

It's all a part of the dream that is getting from Point A to Point B in this community.
