It seems like it became autumn overnight, trading in highs in the 80s for 60s with a chance of rain.  The leaves are quickly changing, the air is cool and crisp, and our minds are turned to our calendars; 30 days to Halloween, 52 days to Thanksgiving, 85 days to Christmas. Before you know it, our collective psyche will be bombarded with "Black Friday Deals" and "Not-To-Miss Thanksgiving Day Blowouts." But which retail locations have already decided they will NOT be opening on Thanksgiving? Quite a few.

According to bestblackfriday.com, the list of stores closed on Thanksgiving is 60 strong, so far, and growing, with the following establishments affected in our area

  • At Home

Personally, I think all retail establishments should be closed on Thanksgiving. It's may favorite holiday, and it saddens me to see it turned in to a carb-load pre-game to early morning shopping. Stay tuned. I'm sure this list will get longer as the Halloween decorations go down and the Christmas decorations go up.
