Which Lake Michigan Beach does Kalamazoo Prefer? Silver Beach or South Haven?

An interesting question popped up recently on the I Love Portage Facebook page, which beach do you prefer Sliver Beach in St Joseph or South Beach in South Haven?

Being about 50 miles inland from Lake Michigan, both are great escapes for Kalamazoo County residents. The unscientific post on Facebook leaned a little more Team South Haven, with a few people commenting they liked it because it's a little bit closer.

Those who liked Silver Beach talked about the things to do "below the bluff" in St Joseph like the fountain, carousel and pizza at the train station.

What about other beaches? Also getting votes were Saugatuck, Warren Dunes, Holland and Grand Haven.
