Where you waiting with bated breath to see who our Detroit Lions would choose with their first pick in this year’s NFL Draft?

I am just joking because I was not waiting either.

Although it is interesting that the Lions did not use their 1st round draft pick to choose a great running back, of which they have a great need.

What position and who did they choose?

Well they used their first round pick to choose an offensive lineman, a center to be exact.

The Lions choose Frank Ragnow, a center from the University of Arkansas (the Razorbacks) with their 20th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

According to reports in the Detroit Free Press, ESPN analyst Mel Kiper Jr. was quoted saying he is a:

heck of a football player…He was a dominant center…He had a heck of a season going until that injury. He's a guy, like an Alex Mack, a Nick Mangold ... going to be a heck of an anchor for you.

Let us hope this offensive line can bust open larger enough holes to allow the running backs the Lions have to get through.
