Wings West Shut Down Saturday Following Bomb Threat

A bomb threat caused the evacuation of an event center in Kalamazoo over the weekend.

MLive reports that the threat against Wings West on Sports Dr. had been emailed to a TV station Saturday morning, and they contacted authorities shortly thereafter.

The threat said that bombs were set to go off at the venue in Texas Township around noon, so the building was evacuated for around 3 hours while bomb sniffing dogs got to work.

Nothing was turned up in the search, and the facility was reopened for business; however, the threat continues to be investigated by local, state and federal authorities.
