Western Michigan University’s Board of Trustees unanimously approved a purchase at WK Kellogg Airport in Battle Creek for their College of Aviation.

The board met this week to buy an aircraft hangar for the university that includes a long-term land lease with the City of Battle Creek.

Western will purchase the hanger for 400,000 dollars.

The additional hangar space will be used for instruction, lab equipment and aircraft to expand Western’s aircraft maintenance program.
