Young Michigan Couple Goes On Burglary Spree After Winning Lotto
In 2016 this Bay County, Michigan couple won $500,000. In 2019, they're behind bars.
The day this couple (in their 20's) won half a million dollars they received an eviction notice. It was a great story. When you don't win the lottery but you read about someone who really needed the money winning...it feels good. Then this happened according to Mlive,
Bay County Sheriff Troy R. Cunningham told MLive the couple is accused in a series of daytime home invasions in Bay, Arenac, Saginaw, Midland, and Tuscola counties going back about two months. All of the burglaries occurred while residents were not home, the sheriff has said.
Stephanie Harvell and her boyfriend Mitchell Arnswald are each being held with a $50,000 bond. Neither of them were able to post bond. Somehow, this couple allegedly burned through half a million dollars in 3 and a half years. Only to resort to theft and the inability to post their own bail.
If the Michigan Lottery wants to throw half a million dollars at me, I promise not to spend it all then rob houses.
