Fans are excited for the pitching prospects the Tigers have in the Minor Leagues.  One of those prospects, Casey Mize could be a possible 2020 Rookie of the Year winner.

According to Bless You Boys, Mize has a +450 odds to win the 2020 American League Rookie of The Year.

The odds are from the website SportsBetting.ag.  It is surprising as Mize hasn't pitched above Double A and dealt with shoulder inflammation late last season.  This spring he hasn't been sharp.  He has given up three hits and two runs in two innings pitched in Lakeland.

Mize isn't the favorite this year. The best odds go to White Sox prospect, Michael Kopech at +300.  The Tigers will likely start Mize in Toledo with the Mud Hens. Could he possibly be called up and pitch enough for a chance at the award?

If not Casey Mize there is a chance we could also see Matt Manning and Tarik Skubal in the mix.  The two, like Mize, have yet to pitch above Double A.

All three will probably spend most of the year in Toledo and may be called up for starts later in the season.

If not this year, we will likely see a few of these Tigers pitching prospects in the running for the award over the next two or three years.
