This is the story that we ALL needed to see today!

Geneva Wood is a mother of five who lived on her own in an apartment near Kirkland, Washington. If that sounds familiar, it's because Kirkland was the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak in the United States early on this year.

She had a stroke, and was sent to a nursing facility to recover; said facility ultimately saw 35 deaths from COVID-19.

Right before she was due to be discharged, she broke her hip and tested positive for coronavirus. At one point, her family was contacted with the news that she had 24 hours to live. They showed up at the hospital with her very own potato soup recipe. As a child, it's what her mom always told her would get her through an illness.

And it DID - Geneva is free of COVID-19 and has moved in with her family while she recovers. And, of course, she credits the soup.
