Battle Creek Music Center Sets Joint Concert: “Where Words Fail, Music Speaks” For February 27th

The Battle Creek Boychoir, Battle Creek Girls Chorus, and Sojourner Truth Gospel Choir, programs of The Music Center, will perform together in an upcoming concert "Where Words Fail, Music Speaks" featuring folk songs and gospel music and international favorites.

"The Boys and girls are especially excited by the music we've picked out for this concert," states Ian Baby, Director of the Battle Creek Boychoir and Girls Chorus. Justin Budzynski, assistant director adds, "Two songs of note are Cherry Blossom, a Japanese folk tune, and a Swahili chant, Sema Na.

This concert is dedicated to the memory of Beverley Jean Sprick who recently passed away. She was the first Administrative Assistant for the Battle Creek Boychoir and Girls Chorus, and later, for The Music Center. Bev's organizational skills and attention to detail were invaluable in building The Music Center dream and we are proud to honor her with song.
