A Battle Creek man who was walking down a roadway Friday evening says he was shot at and struck by two bullets, but there is little evidence related to the incident.

Police talked to the 66-year-old who did suffer two apparent injuries to his arm. Officers were called and responded just after 10:00 pm to a home on Spencer Street. The victim, who was intoxicated at the time, told them he was walking on East Michigan Avenue near Clair Street. That's where he said he was shot at. He said after being struck by bullets, he walked to a friend's home. Paramedics treated the man for injuries to his arm, but the man refused any further help from them.

Officers searched the area where the shooting was said to have happened, but could not find any blood, shell casings or any other witnesses to the shooting. They have no suspects in the case and no suspect description has been reported.
