Finally Common Sense Wins Over Political Correctness
I am happy to inform you that finally common sense has won over current political correctness thought, at least in one North Carolina school district.
WRAL is reporting that a high school principal in North Carolina was “replaced” after she told a student to take off his America and Trump football jersey or leave a patriotic-themed football game.
The jersey in question had the word “USA” in red, white and blue on the front and on the back of the jersey it had the word “Trump” with the number “45” written below. The 45 is in reference to President Trump being the 45th President of the United States.
According to the son’s father, who by the way is a registered Democrat, the principal told the student that some parents were complaining about the jersey and he had to take it off in order to stay at the game.
The father told the TV station that the jersey/shirt was not meant to promote President Donald Trump, he was quoted in the article saying:
“We’re not promoting Donald Trump…He’s our president. Again you’ve got to respect your president.”
Now that is a common sense intelligent Democrat that I have been saying for quite a while must take their party back from the extremist who have taken it over.
According to ABC11 Students were encouraged to dress patriotically for the school’s football game which occurred on October 5th. The Harnett County school district spokeswoman Natalie Ferrell in a statement reported by ABC11 stated:
As long as the expression does not disrupt, and is not reasonably expected to disrupt, the educational mission of the school system, these rights include wearing clothing expressing political messages or supporting political candidates…Again, we want to emphasize that Harnett County Schools supports and affirms students’ rights to express themselves — including wearing clothing expressing political messages or supporting political candidates or officeholders — in ways that are not expected to disrupt school or school events
It is time that all of us stand up against the extremist who appears to have taken over not only the Democratic Party but much of the media. We need to return to common sense and have legitimate debates about the issues of the day which we are facing.
By the way it is not mentioned by any news agency whether Gordon is still employed with the school district.
For the children sake I certainly hope not.
